MERPHING FOREVR

A new group work by choreographer Kati Korosuo will premiere in Spring 2021 in Helsinki. The work is based on Merphing performance thrilogy that was performed by two dancers (Jaana Kovanen, Meeri Lempiäinen) in 2015-2017. The rehearsals will kick off in September 2020.

MERPHING and MERPHING 2

Concept and choreography: Kati Korosuo (2015, 2017)

Dances to a Beat (DTB) technique, created by Kati Korosuo, is used as a method to compose instant choreography. DTB is based on improvisation and repetition and the duets "Merphing" and Merphing 2 were created to investigate this technique as a performative tool.
